Meet the Fidor Bank Team -  the team that kicks the banking world 'into shape'.

To put it frankly, we love what we do and how we do it - which in turn makes our bank a great place to work.

Introducing Nahla, she's been working in the customer service department for one year and loves being involved in the challenging nature of running a digital bank.

 

Hi Nahla, what do you do at Fidor?

I have been working in the customer service department since one year.

What does a typical day at Fidor look like?

 I would say challenging in a good way but mostly fun & dynamic!

 What are you most excited about working for Fidor?

I like the idea to work in a fintech as it helps you always to be more creative, flexible and open to new ideas, also making a lot of friends here and getting connected to Fidor’s team culture  

What do you think about digital banking as an industry?

I believe that in less than 10 years digital banking will be the core of the banking system in general. I find it super cool when you open an account for example without the hassle of going by yourself to the Bank to do so. It makes the process quicker and more efficient.

Describe in one word what life is like working for a fintech?

Creative!

What colour describes your personality?

Blue  

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Hmmm, I'd love to travel through time! :)

Meet Lukas, our CRM superhero whose hobbies include SQL queries and cycling. Lukas is responsible for creating seamless email campaigns across all our markets.

 

Hi Lukas, what do you do at Fidor?

I am the CRM Manager responsible for our DE (incl. o2) & UK markets and my mission is to help our customers to seamlessly use and benefit from our products & services with tailor-made communications and keep them up-to-date with any relevant news and updates from Fidor.

What does a typical day at Fidor look like?

It’s a mixture of a few (mostly) remote meetings, daily and operational tasks in our marketing automation tool, including its maintenance and improvement of automated customer journeys and ongoing exchange with other colleagues to create new, exciting & relevant communication.

What are you most excited about working for Fidor?

I worked already in a typical Berlin-style Fintech startup with less than 80 employees and in ‘corporatish’ direct bank and I appreciate that working at Fidor combines best of out of these two worlds.

What do you think about digital banking as an industry?

Many other industries need to adapt to the digitalization and new customers expectations. I believe banking can and in many cases already is leading the way in going digital. It is good that regulators already understand this and initiatives like Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) will even more accelerate transformation and put the power in the hands of customers. Thanks to AI or machine learning also CRM will help banks to become more customer-oriented.

Describe in one word what life is like working for a fintech?

I am not sure If I can find fit it in a single word. It would be easier to describe it in German thanks to words like Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz or Donaudampfschiffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft. (Thanks for that, Lukas!)

What colour describes your personality?

Green.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Time travel to be able to jump to an age where all email clients accept html5 and CSS.
